Genealogy, Family Stories. Through researching my own genealogy, I've learned some wonderful stories about the people in
my family. I've learned about my German heritage, MADER (daddy's side of the family); and my English heritage which dates
back to Plymouth days, (BARROWS mom's side).
History is no longer an impersonal list of dates, but stories of people; some of them my ancestors........some of them yours!
You can enjoy your family stories too! Put my expertise to work for you researching in Ohio for the stories your
ancestors left behind. When you have a story to pass onto your family, you honor those that came before you.
THE MILL STONE, First one in Athens County to grind wheat into corn meal in 1802. The Mill was owned and operated by The
BARROWS Brothers, George, Henry, and James; located on Federal Creek. These men are my many times great-uncles. Many
in this family were active in local politics, appeared on the orginal tax lists of the county, and were "First Families"
of the area.
