I am married, and a mother of one teenage daughter. I love the outdoors, gardening, hiking, and camping, in addition to genealogy.

I've had some interesting adventures hunting grave stones which is why I say genealogy isn't just for retired folks! My husband and I have climbed hills, crossed streams, climbed fences and made our way through brambles in search of grave stones. Even when you can't read them all, it's quite exciting.

I like old movies, like "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. I like action movies like the Lethal Weapon Series, the way Danny Glover and Mel Gibson banter back and forth. Not sure I should admit to this, but I love some of the cute teenage movies and the time sharing them with my daughter.

My husband and I enjoy outside drama's and plays. After our daughter introduced us to Shakespeare, we were surprised how much we enjoy it. One of our favorite summer activities is taking a picnic and heading to Schiller Park for Shakespeare in German Village.

MUSIC: I like the oldies, the ones I know so I can sign along. Recently, I've develope a fondness for opera; especially Bocelli.
